Physical Description: Despite being half-Japanese, Roxas looks decidedly Caucasian. With blonde hair and bright blue eyes, he could easily be mistaken for a likely-to-be-eaten tourist. With short genes coming from both sides of the family, Roxas stands at 5’ 1,” and probably won’t get much taller. His hair looks like he slept on it funny, it sticks up to one side, but he brushes it, honest! He’s a skinny kid, and light enough to be picked up by just about anyone older than him. As far as clothes go, he wears lots of black, white, and beige, is fond of zippers, and he’s got this nifty four-pointed star as a zipper-pull. He tends to wear pants, even in summer, and almost always has sneakers. When not dressing in monochrome, Roxas goes for blues and the occasional star pattern (shut up, stars are cool).

Personality: You could say the core term for Roxas would be “a good kid.” He’ll help people out if he can, doesn’t commit petty vandalism, and is usually moderately polite. However, he can be a bit of a brat if he decides he doesn’t like someone. Talk down to him? Mess with his friends? You’re getting sassed, snarked, and maybe punched in the face.
The fastest and surest way to make Roxas hate you is to lie. Even without being memory-deficient, learning the truth is important to him, and there’s nothing wrong with “I don’t know” or “I can’t tell you,” so purposely leading him on isn’t something he’ll forgive easily.

Particularly if you’re someone he knows.
While no prodigy, Roxas is a smart kid and likes reading. He doesn’t particularly like school, but he does okay, and he’s got a half-decent idea of when to keep his mouth shut. And most things won’t upset him. Confuse? Yes. Upset? Not so much. Weird idiosyncrasies in other people are more cool than freaky in his opinion.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaponry: Since he was small, Roxas has been able to produce light, usually in small balls large enough to illuminate an area, but not much else. Maintaining these light sources requires at least some of his attention, so if he’s distracted they are likely to go out. He could also create a flash-bomb effect to blind everyone in the area, including himself.
Upon waking in Otokoyo, Roxas found himself in possession of two giant, stylized keys. One black, and the other a combination of white and pastels. These “keyblades” are useful for hacking and slashing at oni, and can disable just about any lock. Being oni weapons, the blades themselves can disappear, leaving only their keychains, which Roxas can clip to a belt loop.
He’s also pretty awesome on a skateboard.

Weaknesses: Roxas’s most apparent weakness is his lack of memory. While he knows some basic personal facts and incidental trivia, he can’t remember enough to find his way home or even out of Otokoyo. His cell phone is blank, his blog completely unused, and he didn’t even wake up in Neo-Edo proper, so he’ll have to rely on the kindness of strangers until he can figure things out.
Also, Roxas has never learned to fight. While he may be strong enough to use his keyblades, he can only hack and slash at enemies, and could easily be disarmed or backed into a corner. And since his memory of practicing with his light-producing abilities is partly gone, his control over them is greatly lacking.
Roxas is a bit of a space case. When something is on his mind, or he’s just plain tired, he’ll keep thinking and thinking, losing track of where he is and what he’s doing. He can be a bit clueless, too, sometimes.

History: While Roxas could tell you that he was born August 14, 2025 near Hongo-
Sanchome, that his dad is a native and his mom is from Europe (it’s why he’s blonde you see), and that they moved out of the Chiyoda Ward two years ago, he won’t be able to tell you his last name, his parents’ names, or where they moved to. His family was comfortably middle-class, and he usually listened to his parents, so he’s never been to Otokoyo in his life.
…which is strange, considering he just woke up there. He doesn’t know why or how he got there, or why he’s got two giant key-things with him, but he’s there, and he’s just gonna have to deal with it. And not die. That’s pretty important.
